Its products include implants used in joint replacement, trauma, and spinal surgeries; surgical equipment and surgical navigation systems; endoscopic and communications systems; patient handling and emergency medical equipment, as well as other medical device products used in a variety of medical specialties. In June 2011 the Company acquired Orthovita, Inc. (Orthovita). In July 2011, it acquired Memometal Technologies (Memometal). In October 2011, it acquired Concentric Medical, Inc. (Concentric). In February 2011, it sold its OP-1 product family. In January 2011, it acquired assets of the Neurovascular division of Boston Scientific Corporation (Neurovascular).
