The Social Security Office is a department under the overall direction of the Ministry of Labour and has its headquarters in Nonthaburi. The leadership of the organisation is the Secretary-General. Twelve offices are responsible for different districts in Bangkok, which operate alongside provincial offices and branches offices located throughout the country. The organs of the Social Security Office are responsible for the overall administration of the Social Security Fund and the Workmen’s Compensation Fund. The policy-making is the tasks of the Committees. The Social Security Fund consists of tripartite Committees: the Social Security Committee, the Appeal Committee and the Medical Committee. The Workmen’s Compensation Fund is directed by the Workmen’s Compensation Committee and the Medical Committee.
